SVP data and codes

These data (for C, N, O, Ne, Na, Mg, Al, Si, S, Ar, Ca, Sc, Fe and Ni) and codes have been released in 2026 (first release in 2020), and are discussed by Alecian & LeBlanc, 2020 (MNRAS),  Alecian, LeBlanc & Hui-Bon-Hoa (submitted in January 2026). The new version (January 2026) contains several improvements in the codes, and the SVP data have have been extended to Sc and Ni.

Instructions to use the codes and data (content of the READme file).

To install the standalone code with the data needed to compute radiative accelerations, download the following file:

svp_standalone_distribution_jan26.tar.gz
This package includes the codes and data necessary for the implementation of the SVP method in stellar evolution programs. It also contains stellar models for testing.

It is recommended to update the 2020, or 2024 versions, by this new version (January 2026). Changes are detailed in the READme file.

The figures showing calculated radiative accelerations for all elements and all models mentionned in Alecian & LeBlanc (2020), are gathered in the following tar.gz:

g_rad_vs_Teff.tar.gz

Some old tables of SVP parameters for particular stellar models are also available here.

See also comparisons of radiative accelerations obtained with other methods [by Hui-Bon-Hoa (2024)].
